Bimini Packed Up
The AIRTIME Inflatable Bimini is designed with versatility in mind. Its modular design makes it one of the most adaptable bimini systems available, allowing boaters to customize how it’s rigged and used on their raft.
The canopy provides over 8.5 feet of coverage, offering meaningful protection during long days on the water. Multiple tie-off points are integrated into the system, making it easy to attach accessories such as:
This added functionality allows the bimini to double as a convenient gear organizer while still maintaining open visibility and airflow on the boat.
The mounting system is designed to fit a wide range of raft frames. The AIRTIME Bimini fits frames from 58" to 72" wide, and the mounts can be easily moved along frame rails to adjust height or position, allowing you to dial in the exact setup for your boat.

The AIRTIME Inflatable Bimini is designed for fast setup so you can spend less time rigging and more time on the water.
1. Position the mounts
Slide the mounting brackets onto your frame rails and position them where you want the bimini to sit. The system fits frames 58"–72" wide, and the mounts can be easily adjusted along the frame to fine-tune height and position.
2. Secure the mounts
Feed the rubber strap under the frame rail and lock it into position to secure the mount to the frame. No tools are required.
3. Inflate the arches
Using a standard raft pump with a Leafield C7–compatible adapter, inflate the arches through the SUP-style push-button valve until the frame is firm.
4. Attach the canopy
Spread the canopy over the inflatable arches and secure it to the frame.
Optional: Install tension lines
Run the tension lines through the canopy loops and attach each end of the lines to the corner D-rings of your raft. This allows you to unclip the front of the canopy and slide it back without lowering the frame—giving you quick access to sun when you want it and shade when you need it.
5. Adjust and enjoy
Make any final adjustments and you're ready to go. The bimini provides over 8.5 feet of shade and weather protection for long days on the river.
The inflatable frame is constructed from 10 oz PVC with an internal polyurethane (PU) bladder that provides reliable air retention and structural support. The bladder is accessible through a zipper opening, allowing inspection, maintenance, or replacement if necessary.
Inflation is handled through a SUP-style push-button valve that allows quick inflation and rapid deflation. The valve accepts standard raft pump adapters, including those compatible with Leafield C7 valves and most common raft valves, allowing you to inflate the bimini with the same pump used for your raft.
The canopy is constructed from 70D coated ripstop nylon, offering lightweight durability while resisting tearing and packing down compactly.

Proper care will help extend the life of your AIRTIME Inflatable Bimini.
• Rinse with fresh water after use, especially after sandy or silty river trips
• Allow all components to dry completely before storage
• Avoid storing the canopy wet to prevent mildew
• Store out of prolonged direct sunlight when not in use
• Do not overinflate the frame, especially in hot weather, as air pressure increases with temperature
• Periodically inspect the valve, zipper access, and canopy fabric for wear
When fully packed, the AIRTIME Inflatable Bimini compresses to roughly the size of a sleeping bag, making it easy to store in a gear bag or dry box.

The bimini can be folded down and secured to the raft or frame when temporarily not needed, or fully deflated and packed away for transport and storage.

AIRTIME River Gear grew out of AIRTIME Kite, a family-owned business in Hood River, Oregon that has been repairing kites, building bladders, and working with inflatable structures since 2001. Over the years we’ve developed a deep understanding of valves, bladder construction, materials, and what it takes to build inflatable products that last.
The idea for the inflatable bimini actually began more than a decade ago. While experimenting with a concept for an inflatable rooftop tent, we started working with a double-arch inflatable structure. Looking at the design, it quickly became clear that the same concept could work incredibly well on a raft.
In the summer of 2016, Brogan built the first prototype and took it out on the river. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked. Hot summer days—especially 100° afternoons on the John Day—became much more enjoyable under the shade.
Trip after trip, other boaters floating past would ask the same questions:
“What is that?”
“Where do we get one?”
Those reactions convinced us the idea was worth pursuing.
Over the following years we continued refining the design—testing materials, improving the mounting system, and sourcing better components to make the system stronger, simpler, and easier to use.
Finally in 2025, we decided the design was ready to bring to market.
In the summer of 2026, we launched AIRTIME River Gear.
Today our goal is simple: build innovative, lightweight inflatable gear that improves time on the water.
